Progress has been made with regards to the show! The Black History Month tribute was a wonderful time for me and the new co-host, who is officially part of the show now. All content is now being streamed from Mixcloud, with the combined efforts of tumblr and twitter to get the word out there!
The twitter account was revamped to focus specifically on the show itself: @sonido1015
Tumblr gets updated with new posts for the show as each episode comes out: http://sonido1015.tumblr.com
The mixcloud link is embedded in the tumblr posts, so you won’t miss a beat on there!
I ensured that everything works out well, with an additional link, should there be an issue experienced. Please feel free to follow the show’s progress on twitter and through tumblr. You can also follow the show on Mixcloud. You have many avenues to choose from.
I have decided to give Tumblr a whirl and see just where it will take me. The rate at which I would have to maintain that blogging area will be greatly reduced.
If any of you reside on Tumblr, feel free to follow me there. Look up sonido1015 and I’ll be sure to send a greet out to you!
I will be using Tumblr fully, once things get settled.
Will be getting prepped for the next show this week!
Today’s tribute to Black History Month is a mix of conscious hip hop and the old school!

Here’s a new track I worked on for 11-Feb-2014 titled Isis. I did a bit of upgrading to the track since then.
Today’s episode was just insane! Had a new co-host on board with me, Dr. Wayde! We had a lot in store in terms of music. Sure, most of them I might not understand the language, but the beats were intense! The co-host’s first time on the air and he rocked it!
Here’s the playlist for this month’s first tribute!

|Black Coffee feat. Zakes Bantwini
||Mbizo Rocker (ft. Phuzekhemisi)

||Still Speedin’ (Vato Gonzalez Remix)

This month is Black History Month and, as such, I will be paying tribute to the many people who stood up for the African people and to my ancestors. I am paying tribute to what is right in the world, not what is wrong with it.
This week’s show is going to be featuring a lot of music from Africa. It will comprise of a genre known as Kweto House music, which is from South Africa, and a lot of other electronic styled music composed by various artists in Africa. This is what the first week will be all about. The second week will be a rebroadcast of the first week’s show, seeing that I will be out of action for that week. The third week will be focusing on conscious hip-hop. It will give people a break from the mainstream garbage that is considered hip-hop. The fourth week will be a mash-up series. In that case, we’ll be going all around the world with the music.
Icons that will be featured in the shows will be Mohammad Ali, Martin Luther King Jr., and Malcolm X. I have already prepared samples of some iconic speeches done by them in the past.
A new co-host will be part of the Sonido Radio Show starting this week, so keep your ears tuned for another voice alongside me. This promises to be a wonderful experience for the co-host and for me as well.
Here’s a track I did a few days ago. I do not have much to say about it except that I was hearing it in my head and ended up working on it. It could work for a video game, probably. I keep thinking along the lines of a boss stage before the big battle starts.
